Meet Amanda

I’m Amanda, co-owner and founder of the Barkmont. My journey in the professional
pet care industry began in 2009 as a dog daycare handler. Shortly after, I established
my own pet sitting and dog walking company. My deep care and commitment to both
the dogs and their owners fostered tremendous growth. Even after bringing on my
now-husband, Kirk, we found ourselves with more clients than we could handle.
It was time to create our own space–leading to the launch of the Barkmont.

At the Barkmont, our mission is to provide the highest quality professional service
to our clients, and their dogs. Above all else, we value safety and customer care.
Our team is present 24/7, 365, and dedicated to providing timely responses to any
client questions. Our goal is to be “the place” where friends and neighbors can feel
confident that their dog is in expert hands, and receiving exceptional care.

We proudly hold one of the most prestigious certifications available within our
industry as Certified Professional Animal Care Providers through the Professional
Animal Certification Council. All of our staff are educated in positive dog handling
techniques, which promote positive, non-aversive training and correction methods.
We also promote continuous development opportunities for our team through
webinars, seminars, and conferences, ensuring they are current on the best
practices in professional pet care.
