The Barkmont Hotel

Going away for a vacation or long-weekend? You can give your dog one, too, and have peace of mind that your dog is under the steady, protective care of our trained staff. We’re committed to making The Barkmont your dog’s home away from home.

Daycare is included with our boarding service with check out extended up until 11am on the final day of the stay. Our guests will have a full day of play and, come bedtime, your pup will be tired, happy and ready for a good night’s sleep.

Our overnight guests will enjoy clean and comfortable sleeping accommodations that include a soft bed, clean blankets and access to fresh water at all times. At bedtime we provide a calming spa-like atmosphere with aromatherapy and soft soothing music to send our canine guests gently to sleep.

Boarding Rates

Our boarding service begins at a single-night rate of $95. Additional services are available upon request.

Hours

Our facility is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. For the safety of our staff and overnight guests, please note that our lobby is only open at the times listed below.

Open Mon-Fri: 7am – 7pm
Sat & Sun and major Holidays: 9am – 5pm

Re-Orientation Days

Please note that any guest whose if your dog has not visited The Barkmont us within the last three 3 months, we will require the dog to stay for at least one 1 day of daycare prior to booking a future boarding stay at The Barkmont before a boarding reservation can be scheduled. This is to ensure that all of our canine guests are comfortable and carefree being in our social environment.  Your dog has the opportunity to re-acclimate to our daycare.

Early Drop Off and Late Pickup

Our Lobby is open from 7am-7pm Monday through Friday and 9am-5pm Saturday and Sunday for pick up and drop off. Should you need an early drop off or late pick up outside of our lobby hours, please call ahead of time during our regular business hours to make special arrangements. Please note that there is a $30 fee for all pick ups and drop offs after regular hours. Although we are staffed 24-hours a day and try to accommodate clients whenever we can, there are no late pick ups allowed after 10pm. Other pickup times are available upon special request.

Check-in/Check-out

You can check-in your dog for boarding anytime after our lobby opens for business. Check-out for boarding should happen no later than 11am. Please note that dogs departing after 11am are subject to daycare fees in addition to the price for boarding.

We highly recommend that all dogs be dropped off no later than 3pm, so that they can enjoy some play time before settling down for the night.

Please note that there is a $30 fee for all pick ups and drop offs outside of lobby hours. This fee is charged per pick-up and drop-off for each occasion after hours.

For example, if Dave drops off his dog Spot at 6am on Monday, and then picks his dog up at 9pm on Monday, he will be charged a total of $60, one charge per early drop-off and late pick-up.

Cancellation

We’re a boutique facility with a limited number of rooms available for our guests. Because of this, we ask that you carefully review our cancellation policy. That said, we understand that plans can change and so we’ve adopted policies that we think are both straightforward and fair. 

Non-Holiday Cancellation

For most of the year, you may cancel your reservation with no penalty up to 4pm the day before your scheduled reservation. If you cancel after this window closes, you will be charged for one night of boarding.

For example, Dave schedules a boarding reservation for February 3rd. Later, he decides he needs to cancel this reservation. He must cancel his reservation by 4pm on February 2nd to avoid being charged for a night of boarding.

Holiday Cancellation

Due to high holiday demand over the holidays, we require a 100% deposit for all each major holiday bookings. If the booking is cancelled before the first of the month of the scheduled booking, this deposit will be fully refunded. After the first of the month, we are unable to issue refunds or transfer dates for holiday bookings of the scheduled booking, this deposit is becomes non-refundable.
